During her professional career she has added real estate, escrow, notary, catering, the non-profit sector, and public speaking to name a few. Though it may seem Susan's plate is always full, she still thrives on serving others.
Originally from Upper Arlington, Ohio, and a huge Buckeye fan, Susan moved to South FL from Chicago, IL and resides in Lake Worth, FL with her husband, children, and fur babies. In her spare time, Susan runs a non-profit (Flying For Hope, NFP), loves to cook, create recipes, and deliver her vegan food as well on the weekends. In addition, she loves to spend time with family and friends, travel, play golf, write, watch OSU football (and now FSU Football), cooking shows, netflix documentaries, reading, listening to podcasts, & going to the beach.

What is Title Insurance?
Title insurance provides financial security when claims threaten those rights. It is a unique form of insurance that covers liabilities that may arise from the past as opposed to a catastrophe that may occur in the future
A Title Insurance Policy provides you with peace of mind. It takes the risk out of acquiring property that may have a troubled or complicated legal history. While there should be no risks in transferring property, they do exist, and we tackle it head on to help resolve any issues.
Before you purchased your home, it may have gone through one or two owners or several, and the land on which the property it stands on went through many more as well. What is an escrow account and how does it work?
An escrow account is a temporary pass through account held by an escrow holder, Fortune Title Group. The escrow holder is a neutral third party that holds funds an related documents in a secure manner while the parties work through the detials of the real estate transaction.

What is Homestead?
In the state of Florida, a $25,000 exemption is applied to the first $50,000 of your property's assessed value if your property is your permanent residence and you owned the property on January 1 of the tax year. This exemption applies to all taxes, including school district taxes.
How do property taxes work in florida?
Real property taxes are paid in arrears (meaning at the end of the year) in Florida and are not assessed until November of the year for which they are due. Therefore, when a closing takes place between January and the first week in November, the amount of the current years property taxes are unknown. The proposed taxes for 2024 will be available on the county's property appraiser website in August 2024. However, whatever county you live in FL, you can go to your county property appraiser website, search your address (put in non-homestead or homestead) if you are purchasing a home to get an idea of what you may be responsible for in taxes this year.
